Drywall That Doesn't Hold Up Your Schedule

On a new build, drywall sits at the pinch point. Everything before it has to be inspected and closed up, and nothing after it can start until the walls are done. A sub who shows up three days late pushes paint, trim, flooring, and the closing date right along with them. We staff and schedule around that reality. Our crews board out new homes across Utah County and Summit County on the dates we committed to, with the material already on site when the crew arrives.

We Work From the Plan Set

We take off from your plans rather than eyeballing it on site, so the board order matches the house and there is no midweek run for six more sheets. Ceiling heights, fire-rated assemblies, moisture-resistant locations, and finish levels all get sorted before the truck loads, which is what keeps the schedule from slipping over something avoidable.

In After Rough-In, Out Before Paint

We move in once framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and insulation have passed, hang ceilings and walls, then run straight through tape, texture, and finish without a gap between crews. Because we self-perform every stage, there is no waiting on a taper who works for somebody else, and no argument about whose work caused the problem when something needs fixing.

What Our New Construction Drywall Service Includes

Taping is the step that decides whether a drywall job looks professional or shows every seam under paint. At High Mountain Drywall, taping is its own discipline, not an afterthought squeezed in after hanging. Our crews embed tape into every joint, corner, and fastener head, then build up coat after coat of compound until the wall reads as one smooth, continuous surface. Whether it’s a single room or an entire new-construction build, the same careful process applies to every seam across Utah County and Summit County.

Builders Keep Us on the Next One

Most of our new construction work comes from builders we have already worked with. Not because we are the cheapest bid, but because the superintendent knows the crew will be there Monday, the board will be stocked, and the punch list will be short. Over 40 years on the Wasatch Front that has turned out to matter more than a few cents a square foot.

Serving Builders and Homeowners Across Utah

Utah County is building faster than almost anywhere in the country, and we board out homes in the subdivisions going up in Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and Vineyard week after week. We also work with custom builders in Alpine, Highland, and the Park City corridor, where the finish spec runs higher and the tolerance for a visible seam runs lower. Same crew, same standard, scaled to the job.

FAQ

New Construction Drywall Questions

Q Do you work with production builders as well as custom?
Both. We run multi-home schedules for production builders and single high-spec custom homes, and we staff each accordingly rather than putting a production crew on a custom finish.
After framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and insulation have all passed inspection. Give us the date those close out and we will schedule the board drop and the crew around it.
Most homes run one to two weeks from board drop to finished texture, driven mostly by drying time between coats. Square footage, ceiling height, and finish level move that in either direction.
We do. Delivery and stocking are included in the bid, distributed room by room so the crew is not carrying board across the house on day one.
Level 4 across most of the house. We recommend Level 5 in great rooms, stairwells, and anywhere with long sightlines or raking light, and we will point out which rooms actually justify the upgrade.
Yes. Give us a sample or an address to look at and we will match knockdown, orange peel, or smooth to your standard so your homes stay consistent.
Yes. We come back for punch repairs, and because we hung and finished the house originally, the texture match is exact rather than approximate.
Square footage, ceiling heights, board types, finish level, and texture. Send the plan set and we will return a bid-ready number with labor and material bundled.
